Some bending and along bottom corners throughout. A few small penciled “x”‘s to select chapters on contents pages. Else light age-toning.

Good in brown leather boards with some embossing. Five raised bands and gilt title on spine. Page edges are gilt. Spine ends rubbed and some rubbing along length of spine and edges of spine. Corners and all edges also rubbed as well as extreme edges of board faces.
Previous owner’s name on small sticker on front paste-down. Front hinge starting. Some light foxing appears on a few pages and a few have a small crease to top corner. Brown endpapers are a bit dusky. Signed note from Cozzens is quite nice in a small glassine envelope. Signature W. Harrison Eisenberg 1861 on limitation page. This is the same name as on front paste-down.
